I had an original G10, and sold it due to the 5v USB power source for the receiver. Bought a G10S system to replace it. The receiver takes conventional 9v power and is much more pedalboard-friendly. Of the lot mentioned in this thread, I've used the Line 6 G30, G10, and G10S, and the Xvive. The G30 worked well, but the plastic construction didn't inspire confidence -- sold. The G10 unit was wonderful, instant linkup, no dropouts, but the 5v USB power for the receiver was a pain and the USB...

Just for grins, I tried my Mezzo in a Strat gig bag . . . just 3cm too long! Somewhere, there's a guitar gig bag that is just long enough to fit.

My LMB-3 works fine, but gets really noisy as the level is increased. In the market for something better, or at least quieter.

I took a few bass lessons last year after 50+ years of playing guitar and bass entirely by ear. I am not sure if lessons could do me much good at this late date -- playing by ear and trying to play with musicians who are better educated than I am seems like a good compromise. I still don't much...

Have had both, prefer the J neck and the P body and pickup. Currently finishing a Partscaster mash-up with the best of both worlds, fitted with a DiMarzio Split P pickup -- quiet, clean, simple. Love it!
