Thanks mate thats really helpful! You dont know the name of the shop do you? i guess the scratch plate is easily replaced but the price is hefty for a banged up one. Plus i live up in the midlands so a trip down is like £50 and to make things worse i fly to japan next friday fro two...

Yes i see your point but i'm not much of a tweaker and it would only be done if its going in to service when they'll probably be taking it off anyway. I may see if i can pick up a 1 piece just hope it fits!

I have a 52 re-issue and a 60's re-issue both Feder Japan.... THEY ARE AMAZING! Not 1 problem with either. Definetly reccomended!

Anyone got a White 4003? haha I've changed my mind! i want a moe moden White Rickenbacker! Even harder to find but i thought if i'm gonna have to struggle to get a normal one well might aswell struggle to get a White! Here's to a new quest! haha ALSO Spoke to a local small retail shop...
