The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

That´s a killer bass, even if it's the cheapest Squier model. I've got that very same model, and considering its price, it came with very nice woods on both body and fretboard. Definitely not your typical unmatching pieces of planks, but even and beautiful grain. The rosewood on the fretboard...

so what do you think of my new 6 string ?

Nothing like a thread like this to stir up some good ol' controversy :P . The bass looks nice by the way, but knowing first sight it's a chinese knock-off and not the real thing is kind of disappointing.

    NBD: oldie Yamaha BB605

Congrats! That's a nice bass, with Yamaha you can hardly ever go wrong.

    Cort Basses??

I own an Artisan B5 and is killer. Almost same specs as Ibanez SRs (500 and up), with Bartolini MK1 pickups but at a much lower price, which is good. The wenge/rosewood neck looks great, it's solid and very stable. Nice hardware as well, with a solid bridge and tuning machines doing their job...

    ibanez sr500 vs sr600

This. Also, the finish on the SR 500 seems to easily damage since it's very thin, it scratches/dings easily.

    NBD Ibanez SR500

    Killer bass, congrats!

    Basses You've Owned

Too many pics to post, but my list goes more or less like this (in chronological order, both "good" brands and unknown cheap ones): Samick (precision type in black) Honda (yes, you read it right, HondA, and I still have it) Texas Strinberg CLB 26A Palmer Eclipse 5 Ibanez SR 375M BBT Cort GB 35...

    NBD!!! MIM Jazz

Nice bass! IMO it looks way better without the ashtray.

    Ibanez PIB3 or Ibanez SR375

I once owned the SR 375M, and I liked how comfortable and light it was. However, the pickups lacked that punchy feeling I always look for, especially for slap. The PIB will be more expensive, so if you're planning to buy either of them, get the SR 375, and change the pickups. Bartolinis are...

    2015 Schecter J Bass. A worthy alternative!

I hope to have the money to get me one of those jazzes once they arrive here in Mexico. I'd go for the five string version, and definitely in white. I might have to wait for six more months, possibly a year, to see those around here, but I a Schecter will always be worth the wait. I'm pretty...

    NBD!!! Yamaha TRBX 305

I personally think it will hold up just fine. The B string is pretty decent sounding, at least in mine was not floppy at all, and with a proper set of strings with a heavier gauge it might give you also a nice tight and good sounding A string.

    NBD!!! Yamaha TRBX 305

They're surprisingly good amps. I've heard stories about the big ones (150 W and up) being blown up after some time, but I can't tell for sure how much truth there is to those stories. Mine is a 30W amp, small but just enough for the amp to provide serious low end, at least for rehearsing. I...

    Schecter vs Warwick

Schecter all the way. MOre versatile sound, playability, and personally better aesthetics.

    The CORT Club (Part 2)

I'd say your bass is from 1996, built in may. You've got one of the good ones, made in Korea and all :) .

    The CORT Club (Part 2)

Does it have the serial number on the back of the headstock? if it does, it will provide the info you need. The first two numbers are for the year the instrument was made, the next two go for the month. Let us know what you find out, and pics of the serial number would be greately appreciated :) .
