I had noise from a tube in a preamp once that was not seated right. Once I pushed it all the way in the noise stopped and no more problems so I don't think he knows what he is talking about but I am no tech. You could make sure the tubes are seated , it want void the warranty. If it is a new...

It can be switched between 100 watt mode to 25 when the amp is on, The amp will rebias when you switch power ratings, except from 25 watt mode to silent record mode,

I made a mistake one time by turning the power off before going to standby, later when I went to play the amp the auto-bias lights were not acting right but I cannot not remember what they were doing but anyway I just pressed both arrows until it went all green and it went back to normal...

I think you should do the rebias while out of standby mode, I could be wrong but it will not set bias while in standby mode. Please correct me if I am wrong.
