Just picked up another SB after about a 2 year hiatus from selling one. Looking forward to putting it through the paces again versus my Ampeg 2 non pro.

The Fender Super Bassman 300 thread

Running at 2.67 ohms I'd run it at 4 ohm setting.
I mistakenly ran mine at 8 ohms while using a 4 ohm cab the other night. I noticed no difference in tone or extra heat or anything. Not that I'd recommend doing it or shall do it again. ....But I'd sure have no problems running a 2.67 ohm load thru it.

rodl2005 is correct. 4 ohm load on the main speaker jack ( 2 8ohm cabs) plus one 8 ohm cab on the extension speaker jack makes 2.67 ohms. Run at 4 ohm load switch .. I just looked at the owners manual.
Just got done letting this beast sing through my Dually and holy cow, what a stellar sounding amp. Man, what a Jekyll and Hyde amp. Let the honeymoon begin.....again. The SVT 2 NP is definitely a little jealous but I'm going to give her a well deserved rest.

I received my brand new custom cover for my SB300 today from TLC Covers (no affiliation) who are based in Australia. Cost me $96AUD delivered, and they added a pocket to the rear at my request so I could keep the footswitch power cable and speaker cable in there. Super impressed and I highly recommend them.

I ordered Fender Grill cloth to dress my NV412, and I was bummed it didn't arrive friday, for the weekends gigs. A knock at the door 2 hours ago and it's arrived in time to be fitted for my Saturday night gig. Just finished and I roll out the door in an hour!
Really stoked with how it came up. The Question is - do I buy a Fender badge or leave it as is??
