The Fender Super Bassman 300 thread

I've had the MV at 7 with the Dist channel Vol set at 6 and never heard a peep. Granted this was at a pretty loud gig, and I probably had hearing fatigue by then, but I was standing real close to my rig and there was nothing to be heard between tunes. Note that I did not have the Gain or Blend engaged.

Could be. Pretty easy to access the pre tubes. Try swapping couple of the AX7,s around maybe? See if any change.
As i said! I haven't purposely tried this buti have pretty much tried every setting the amp can do, so I'm sure i have actually dimed the master &/or dimed the channel volumes and I've never noticed any adverse noise. I will try again asap.

Just fyi.......I've swapped out both V1 & V2 pre amp tubes with some NOS JAN PHILLIPS 5751s i just thought they had a sweeter OD sound and slightly warmer tone all round.
I've still got the original Rubys tho

My slab'o'amps finally came in!!!

It has arrived! I only got a chance to play with it for an hour or so, but my first thoughts: AMAZING!
I can't thank you guys enough for all of your reviews, advice, and praise regarding this amp. Because of you, I have found the tone I have been seeking for years. I can't wait until band practice this weekend so I can really see what she's got!:bassist:
