Hey everybody. I have an Ibanez BTB400QM and I have to tell you... I really don't like the tone that much. I've spent countless hours EQ'ing the bass/the amp, changing batteries, swapping strings, adjusting pickups, but in the end I always end up with a dry, bland, sort-of cheap-sounding tone...

Hey guys! So I've had an Ibanez BTB 400QM for about a year now and I'm really frustrated with its tone. I've spent countless hours adjusting the EQ on it as well as the EQ on my amp, but to no avail. I've adjusted the pickups, cleaned inside/out, changed strings twice, changed the batteries...

Okay Guys. I have like $850 and I want a very loud amp. Which would be a better choice? Marshall MB4410? -or- Acoustic B200H/B410/B410 thanks ladies n' gents! :cool:

Hey I've been looking at the Marshall MB4410: (http://www.amazon.com/Marshall-MB4410-Guitar-Combo-Amplifier/dp/B0042GWBFU) and I was wondering if it would be able to run another 410 as an extension cab. any thoughts? thanks! :D

Would I be able to run the B600H to just one of the 4x10s for smaller gigs? or would it blow up the cab?

What would happen if I ran a B200H into them? Would it be a lot quieter?

Hey I'm going to be purchasing two Acoustic B410's. Would it be better to run them with a B200H or a B600h? (I'm a n00b when it comes to gear)

Seismic Audio!??!? Yes. You need to get away from those. Seismic Audio is about as low quality as bass cabs come. I recommend getting Acoustic cabs. You can get two 4x10's for about $650 and they are quite sturdy and well-made. best of luck!

@RickenBoogie - Well I like the clean settings on an Orange and the dirty settings on an Acoustic. I don't care what the companies are "known" for. These are just the tones i like. :)

Okay. I understand. For example, I really like the dirty tones of the Acoustic B200H and the clean tones of the Orange bass combo. I'd want both of those in an amp.

Okay thanks! What would you recommend for an alternative bass amp head? I'd want something small, very powerful, and preferably with switchable tube amp and solid state mode. (if not then i'd prefer solid state over tube.) Thanks a ton! :D
