I have done a swap recently for zens with a nord 3b pre in my lg3006 with stellar results. (it previously had barts, then aguilars after). Highly recommended and imo fits the bass better sonically than anything else ive tried!

Bought this Roscoe two years ago, Superbly crafted and sounded great but the original bart preamp was failing. Did the most popular swap and threw in an OBP3 since it was the most readily available in my location + DCB pickups to best match the pre. I found the Roscoe barts somehow too dark...

Hello guys, does anyone have sound clips on a John East uni pre + barts combo in a Roscoe, or a stock demeter+barts (since Roscoe tuned demeters are no longer made). I'm trying to get that modern yet crisp tone. Any other preamp + pickup ideas are also welcome!:)

That's my problem with the dcbs as well, too much mids. I wanted something more even with a nod towards a tamed jazz bass sound, considering my bass is a forward-slanted LG, it rules out most pickups with pole pieces( ie, Nordstrand DCs due to misalignment with strings). which means for best...
