LolThat's more notes than I get to play all year.
I’d try a Comfort Strapp (or another strap with a tacky surface that keeps the strap from sliding on your shoulder) before I’d drill a hole in the bass. Definitely devalues the instrument.I've noticed that this LG-3005 is a bit unbalanced on the strap, leading to a slight case of neck dive. Neither the Cocobolo nor Quilt Maple ones I had in the past had any dive ... but both were much heavier. I'm thinking about moving the strap button position further up from the centerline to see if that helps. Has anyone here repositioned their strap button?
BTW: I will test it with gaff tape before I get the drill out ...
I agree with painted bodies. Natural swamp ash is a pretty easy fix however.I'd try a Comfort Strapp (or another strap with a tacky surface that keeps the strap from sliding on your shoulder) before I'd drill a hole in the bass. Definitely devalues the instrument.
Wow! That fretless looks gorgeous!!!More knobs! You might've seen this if you follow Roscoeheads over on FershBerk. I'm not satisfied with the Maple ones with the Roscoe stripe. The idea of doing the stripe was the whole reason I got into turning. Feels like I'm improving my technique with each attempt, and developing a better process. Today, I finished these Burl Myrtle on Macassar Ebony with a Cherry binding. I recently restrung this CenturyFL with GHS Pressurewounds and I'm really digging the sound. Only other pressure/ground/half rounds I've tried were D'addario groundwounds and I was not a fan. These GHS have some bite! -but with minimal finger string-zing.
I found the post I recall seeing back in November. Apparently that particular one was very heavy in weight.I seem to recall someone here having a Roscoe Thunderbird V. If you did, or someone has played one, what did you think of it?
That's pretty cool.Here's the green Roscoe T-Bird that @RocketMusic had built ...
