I recently put together a musicmaster. i considered the aero because i've heard such great things about their pickups. i just couldn't get myself to shell out the $120 for it. i put in the single coil quarter pound seymour duncan p-up in instead. picked one up on here used for $20 or $30. sounds...

highway one. but its a personal preference. i dont like the glossiness of hte geddy (makes your hand stick when you sweat). the neck is also too thin in my opinion. but again...alot of peopel out there like scrawny sticky feel. geddy is overpriced too.

yup you're right. it is off. the funny thing about it is that i had the bridge installed by a tech (since i didnt have the tools). Kind of ridiculous since they charged kind of a lot for doing it. i dropped it off yesterday to show them. They are going to readjust it i think. im wondering if i...

thanks! i had to clip down the edges of the pup so it would fit under the pup cover. But after replacing it i was shocked how boomy the bass sounded. its crazy to think this sound is coming out of such a tiny bass...its as though i think im playing but really there's someone behind me is playing...

Oh common, for god sakes its a p-pickup! Its completely fine. The difference in tone...especially with a practice amp is going to be barely noticeable...even more so to an untrained ear. And it isnt even a "worse" tone, its just different. A lot prefer the p tone anyway. The original poster...
