I flew to LA with my bass in a gig bag and didnt have a problem. The bag fit in to the longer (in length) overhead bins. And on one flight,they were more than helpful by helping me store it in one of the closets up front. As a precaution? I would take the strings off. Just so security has one...

Thanx again for the replies. The new maple neck was crafted in Japan and the machine heads from my mexican p-bass are not compatible. The inside diameter of the holes in the headstock are smaller than the holes in the mexican. There are pre-drilled holes. I'm just trying to get an idea on what...

I'm replacing the neck on my Pbass from a mexican rosewood neck to a maple neck. My question is: Will the hardware (tuning keys etc.) be compatible or will I have to buy the hardware for the new neck? Any input would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I just bought a new acoustic bass. Its a 5string but oddly enough, the low B is a nickel colored string and the rest are bronze. I only bought it because of the design on the fretboard, and it sound pretty good. Anyone with a suggestion on how to string this bass? Should I put a bronze low B on...
