I know, they're awesome, I saw one last year, I fell in love with it, though it was a Jazz, a P'd be better! The price was outrageous though, the shop was way overpriced, E1700. Not a chance.:atoz:

 :scowl:

That's way overpriced. Actually that is the list price if I'm not mistaken.
I think at thomann you can get it around 300 or 400 cheaper.

edit: price check: Invalid Link Removed

531 € cheaper to be exact.

It seems Thomann dropped their prices on the 2008 models they still have.
I remember a few months agot it was either 1300 or 1400 €.

Well, this bass I love to have. (The one in the link). :)

Nice Brett. :)

I gave it 5 stars.

Spread the P-bass love.

Indeed, music shops here are disgraceful, gotta keep an eye out for deals, know your stuff, and know the shop keepers to boot, as for Fenders and the like, just shouldn't buy them here any more, overseas is the only way.

:hmm: That's crappy.

Luckily for me here it's not so bad.
My local store is a tad more expensive than the online stores.
But I gladly pay a little bit more at my local shop for the service (testing out gear, repairs, good deals, returning, and friendly face to face treatment.)
Except for some things my local store can't order... then I go online store.

Yeah I feel that, I'd gladly pay a little extra for local service, but not this extereme.

Cheers! I was thinking of the anodized gold one first but got worried I might get a bit fed up with it. I know a black PG may not completely the 50s look but I think it would be cool. Then again I like the idea of parchment as well.

2 color burst with Maple and anodized IS the classic vintage Fender look. That's what my 1960 P looked like for years except I have a Rosewood board. It was a refin in 2 color when I got it so I put the gold PG on it. I've since gone back to Oly White with Tort (check my avatar) but I always liked the look with Gold. I never liked the look of Tort with a Maple board. Parchment or Mint Green would look pretty good too I think. Black is good but always reminds me of 70's or 80's Fenders. I've got an 08 MIA Black / Maple P with a white PG that I just don't like the look of. I'll probably go with a black or pearloid black on that one.

I love Precisions! Here are mine... (4 MIA, 1 CIJ, 1 Frankenstein Hoppus with a '72 neck) may I join?

Thanks! :)

Here is my "Frankenbass" or "Earnie" as I call it. (I used to have a Dale Earnhart's #3 sticker on it. But removed it and replaced it with the flag sticker after the 9/11 tradgedy)
Its a MIM body. I recently replaced the neck from a rosewood to a maplewood neck CIJ. I replaced the stock pups with Dimarzio 'Will Power' pick-ups. (more balls)
Hope you enjoy. I play it, I know I do.
Number please?:hyper:
