American Vintage '58 Split Single-Coil Precision Bass

Greetings! I've searched, and I think this hasn't been covered yet. I'm searching for some creamy, vintage sounding pickups for my Cimar by Ibanez precision bass. From some youtube shoot-out's that I've heard, the ones I liked the most so far have been the American Vintage '58 Split...

    BassPuns

Don't know if anyone has done this yet (if so, delete this), but I find this essential and relevant. I'll start: There's no reason to play metal with a Les Paul bass. It's pointless.

Who's funkier: Larrhy Graham or Bootsy Collins?

Doesn't really matter. Both onstage and one would instantly implode. And the girls would wet themselves to death.

If they can't tell the difference, you probably can't either...

Gibson Tbird IV vs Epiphone Tbird

Thanks Mr TBird!! I have found myself falling onto that downward spiral too, as I can't think of any other basses than the Tbird, heheh! It's really is addictive! But yeah, so do I have this little crush on some hollowbodies, although I don't think I'll do pretty well with their sound...

Gibson Tbird IV vs Epiphone Tbird

Greetings TBird1958! Heheheh, for the first time I can't tell if that was a compliment or not. I'm portuguese, so a bit short on english skills =) Anyway, I do realize that I'm generalizing a bit on my statement. I to believe Gibson Tbirds fit well other styles and sounds else...

Gibson Tbird IV vs Epiphone Tbird

Quite honestly, after so many threads about the Thunderbird, either Gibson or not, and adding the fact that I own one, i really think that is basically comes to this: If You're into rock, and You have the money, go for the Gibson - its got the most charateristic tone of the all, and either...

If u knew then what u know now! Bass Edition!

Should have been in bands with lots of hot groupies... now I don't fit the profile, and neither could take profit from it... f***!! :smug: Shouldn't have passed that chance of buying the Pbass special to my friend. Should have bought the regular Tbird IV to tune BEAD instead of the 5'er...

    Which bass is best for..

Honestly, don't know.. The guy uses a long-horn type of bass live, never knew if it was the original Danelectro one or a custom made, because it was very big! Anyway, I'll try to find out.

Don't tempt me!.. :D I'd kill for a classic white one!

    Which bass is best for..

Yeah, I've been pretty much into this one, since the old 5 string deluxe was discontinued. Though I'd tottaly prefer this version: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] .. with a black pickguard.. Goddamit... I guess these would have the perfect vintage, old sound I like, but in...
