Tuner --> Boss Limiter LM-2B --> Boss Parametric EQ PQ-3B --> Digitech Multi Voice Chorus --> Sansamp BDDI. Love the PQ3B, it dials in a shocking range of tones. This would be an ideal pedal for 5, 6, 7 string players.

I always just played through a Sansamp into my rig or directly to the board or whatever. Got an itch to shake things up so I found a few pedals on craigslist. I like the new tones a lot so far, especially the low end capabilities of the Boss Parametric Equalizer. Wow that thing is cool...

I'm a HUGE Wilco guy and love what he does, so well said above about him playing perfect parts without overplaying the song and laying down great vocal harmonies. I've for sure seen him play a custom Lakland live, he also plays an old '68 or so Fender P that is actually Jeff Tweedy's and Wilco...

That greenburst is beautiful, and unique. LIKE. This is my bass as of earlier today: 1985 Schecter P/J, all original USA. You can't tell in the photos but you can actually see the wood grain beneath the red coat on the body.

I have a cheap Squier P also. Two very short and small wires connect the guitar's electronics to the input jack. Their connection is very feeble, and that caused a lot of crackling and buzzing in mine. Taking it apart and soldering it back together may fix it, at least temporarily.

I'd buy any number of inexpensive basses over a Squier.

I'm telling you, between $1-400 on a neck and $70-100 on pups you're better off just buying a proper Fender. Not to hate on your project, I'd like to put a guitar together myself some time... but souping up a Squier seems to me like outfitting your Plymouth Neon with 18" rims and a bumpin'...
