What's your rig of choice for this weekend? Part 2.

That looks like a really sweet place for a gig, very cool!

Behringer / Midas Stage Boxes and Digital Mixers Discussion (SD8, SD16, M32C, XR18, X32 Rack, etc.)

No problem at all, the “blocks of 8” limitation was about the only thing I didn’t like about the X32, glad they eliminated it!

Behringer / Midas Stage Boxes and Digital Mixers Discussion (SD8, SD16, M32C, XR18, X32 Rack, etc.)

If I am understanding the issue, here is a YouTube explaining the “1 to 1 user patching” available in the version 4 firmware-

Behringer / Midas Stage Boxes and Digital Mixers Discussion (SD8, SD16, M32C, XR18, X32 Rack, etc.)

There was an update quite a while ago where the “blocks of 8” limitation for the X32’s was removed, there are YouTube videos about it, it is a little bit different process in the routing setup.

List the best cabs from each brand!

For me, the “ drop the mic” bass cab that exists right now is the Mesa Subway 1x15…

    Best hybrid bass head

The 2 best hybrid bass heads I have ever heard, or I guess I should say my 2 favorite, are the Mesa TT-800 and the Aguilar DB-751/750 series. I have played, gigged and owned just about everything out there, and those 2 really stand at the top, with the Ampeg SVT-3 and 4 heads close behind...

    Good Sub Options (new/used/pow/pas) 2023?

So I recently put together a new PA, and I am using a single sub for our 3 piece rock trio. I picked up the new Mackie Thump 115S for it's price, performance and weight. This is the new version, not the previous one, which was boomy and not the best sounding, more aimed at the DJ market. This...

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

Just picked up a pair of Subway 1x15 cabs on Friday, finally, (had to wait till I had available funds!) and I must say agedhorse, they are truly remarkable! Best cabs I have ever owned or played thru, and I have played thru a lot! We rocked a big show at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium in...

    GK Legacy 800 vs Tech 21 VT500

Sorry everyone, I stand corrected, the older Tech21 bass heads I played thru were USA made, did not know they had switched to overseas manufacture…

    GK Legacy 800 vs Tech 21 VT500

I would very respectfully disagree about the VT500 being in a lesser tier than GK, they are both built in the USA, both are killer at what they do. As shoot-r stated, the GK has really full lows, crisp highs and are lightning fast response-wise, and the VT500 is the most gnarly kind of tubey...

What's your rig of choice for this weekend? Part 2.

The Squire is magic sauce, I don’t know how they are pulling it off, but it checks all the boxes - it looks incredible, killer tone for days, and if I was blindfolded, it plays like a $2000 bass. Does not need a thing.

What's your rig of choice for this weekend? Part 2.

Just picked up a pair of Mesa Subway 15’s, and last night, just WOW! The P into the Tech21 Dug preamp was massive and full.

    Classic rackmount preamps

Oh WOW! That old Bass Player article was so great, it definitely affected my journey thru the bass world, as I bought many preamps it highlighted through the years. My favorites are the Demeter (still have an original 1.5 with the “Nashville mod”) and the Ampeg SVP. I loaded the Ampeg with 5...
