Schecter Stargazer: New version?

People made fun of Jackson's fake Rickenbacker the X Series and yeah it was kind of ugly to some, but not to me. But after seeing this I forget that bass... this is the next best fake Rickenbacker look!

I hope they do it in Fireglo... I'm in love I don't care for the Rick sound but I love the look... very in love
And the sound I can not wait to hear!

I think I am the other way around. I don't love the look of the Ric, but they sound great (when the greats are playing them).

I kind of want to rephrase a bit, I do like the sound of Ric's, especially Tool's first album I love that Ric's tone and obv Chris Squire is someone I also adore that amazing Ric sound, I think basses that can get that sound without looking like a Ric is cool! I guess Peavy T40 was the almost near-ish thing to that from what I understand.

Actually a fake Japanese Ric but have to give it to Peter Joy's early sound in Joy Division! Great Ric ish vibe!
I tried one once in a store and I wasn't too into the neck as well, but I love to give it another try!

I don't think I have ever tried a real Ric. A friend of mine in high school had a Univox copy and the neck and ergonomics felt very weird to me. It was enough to put any GAS for a Ric at bay.

My point of reference would be early Rush for the Ric sound.

It's great since Ben Hall granted freedom back to Rickenbacker and its admirers. What they say, copying is the highest form of flattery? Best thing is Rickenbacker themselves is developing again, too.
This thing looks only sort of Rickenbacker-inspired, with its own twist and character. It's not like the Jacksonbacker which looks a bit Frankenstein to me.
