The Les Paul Triumph bass has been my favorite Gibson bass for many years. I have quite a few others, but the Triumph has the best balance of tone. What was the guy asking for the one he was selling? The NY151 did a good job of handling my '67 EB-2, that is partially what sold me on it.............

I just added a second NY151 cabinet, I'm sure one will work for most gigs, but it's nice to know you have two if you need them. I also picked up the Mark Stand to get more sound out of one NY151........:hyper:

Is it pretty common to have long backorder times with Markbass products??

I just received my Little Mark III & a New York 151 a little over two weeks ago. I was so impressed, I ordered another New York 151 speaker. I'm impressed with the sound & especially the light weight. The option of bringing one or two speakers is nice. My second speaker is on back order...

I had to change the knobs on mine first thing when I got it also...........

I read somewhere that the total of all 3 colors was 400.

I have the Gold Top & am very happy with mine also. It looks like the first 400 of these are close to sold out & the next batch are having an unusually long delay. You're lucky to have one!!:hyper:

I bought a new set of Gibson Knobs, I don't like them as well as the old 60's knobs, they have a brushed finish on the reflector caps. The old ones are shiny. I see some aftermarket knobs available with chrome tops but nothing yet with shiny gold tops like the original 60's version. So far I dig...

It seems like many stores still have them in black & cherry sunburst, but the gold is almost sold out. It looks as if there are more available in Europe than the US. I wanted the Goldtop so I took the plunge. :hyper:

This kind off ended up being a gift to myself also, my first "New" Gibson bass. My LP Sig is the only other Gold basss Gibson ever made, if I recall correctly.

I see you also have a Les Paul Signature bass, most likely a '74. I have one also.... How do you like it? :hmm:

The single coil was a massive coil of at least 25,000 turns of #42 wire designed by Walter Fuller. I have an early '59 EB-2, just before they changed to the "mudbucker". My EB-1 is a '69 reissue. I've had GAS for an original many times, but the price of GAS has gone sky high. :eyebrow:
