Whoops I didn't realize that I'm already in the club! I don't think anybody minds looking at an SG more than once, even if it is backwards.
I always thought I was crazy cause I love the sound of Gibson basses and I always heard your not suppose to.
I had to change the knobs on mine first thing when I got it also...........
God, that Pelham Blue is gorgeous. My Midtown is cherry.
But the Midtowns are fantastic... no matter what color.

It plays and sounds awesome too!
Only issue with these is the neck pickup, very unbalanced across the strings and much louder than the bridge.. not easy to adjust though, I suspect the adjustable poles are there for looks, I had to jam foam under on side and drop the other.. but even then the E is quiet and the A is pretty booming. I have the bridge pickup as high as it can go as well.. But they play nice together.
Much as I'd love a 335, I just can't swing the price difference!

If your E is quieter than the A, it might be due to the E strings point of contact at the bridge saddle choking out the sound. It might be worth trying a mod bar or similar device to see if getting the overwrap off the saddle will help the string speak better.
