GIBSON Club. Part II

lpbass1.jpg

my Les Paul Money Bass. Please add me to the Club!

I just recently purchased a new Gibson SG bass. I have own many Fenders but I am new the Gibson gig. Does anyone know what brand and gage strings Gibson puts on their basses at the factory? I am thinking of going over to flat wounds but would like to know what strings I have if I decide I don't like the flat wounds. Thanks,

BTW, can I get a club number.

Haven't searched here yet, but just came from my local guitar center and they had a faded/worn cherry red flying v bass. they also said they had just sold an explorer in a faded sunburst finish. I was really impressed with v, for a short scale bass it seemd to have enough length to satisfy my long thunderbird arms. and the tone thumped, esp on the neck pup. from what they said it sounds like these are in store only models, and not currently available online. at $899 I'm seriously thinking of getting one!
