GIBSON Club. Part II

The pickup switch isn't working right, I can can get either pickup in those positions but only the neck pickup works in the middle posion. Other than that, pure heaven.

It weighs 10.4 lbs. It is way louder than the special.

I think it is very comfortable to play when sitting. I haven't strapped it. I rarely stand up when playing.

The nut isn't very wide on the standard. The neck profile is like a round Les Paul 6 stringer. The nut is about the same on the special, but the neck doesn't seem quite as thick.

I love 'em both. Tonal range on these basses is a mile wide. The special has oodles of sustian but the standard has sustain from now on.

I have the Gold Top & am very happy with mine also. It looks like the first 400 of these are close to sold out & the next batch are having an unusually long delay. You're lucky to have one!!:hyper:

Hello fellow Gibson owners. Posting here in this thread for the first time. Hope your still giving numbers. Here's my babies; 1996 and 1994 LPB-25's. Bought the White one when I was 15 and it was my first bass. Tried many other basses over the last 20 years and never fell in love with any of em like I did my LP. So just last year I bought the '94 Heritage Cherry from a fellow TB'er. I guess after 20 years "Only a Gibson is good enough!"

I can't say I'm owner... but my friend's dad owns this Gibson SG bass of some kind... The top is sick and the neck was really nice to. He said only 200 of that kind were made in the world. Any idea what it is?

That is a 2007 Gibson SG reissue supreme. Week # 1 of the Gibson guitar of the week program. AAA flamed maple top, mohagany body and neck... 400 made.

Nice bass, they come up on E-Bay from time to time selling for anywhere from $750.00 up to $1100 or so.

I would hang on to it, might be a collectors item someday, as well as being a really fun bass to play.:)
