The Fortress...best bass I've ever owned. Mine's a 97' Fortress One,PJ Pups etc... The Thumbs are also nice,as is My $$ Vette,but the Fortress is just balanced so well,fits like a glove,and sounds (IMO) the best outta all the Warwicks I own. Got it on EBay for $750 last year, best money ever...

Yep, at times. I like the the old Usa P-Deluxe w/ the fat bridge pup,mines a '98 and sounds nice.

All I can say is,everytime I start slapping everyone says "haha That's Seinfeld, and I'm not playing anything resembling that. But it is fun IMO

I think Flea mainly did it for "The newer Gen." For Me it Was Steve Harris back in the Eighties,and also Entwistle. Geddy's been doin it for people since...forever. But,also what I think is really doin it these days is YouTube,and all those Slappers doin those learn how vids. IMO

I start at 3/4 during sound check and play a little softer for it. That way I have room to be a little sneaky and turn up,cause you know those guitarists are probably going to do so also,and of coarse the drummers gonna start banging 'em harder once He gets goin too. Overal,l I do more...

Maybe try this out? I did,I like it... and it was fairly cheap. It's called a Line6 Constrictor/compresser, You can get em' on E-bay etc... for like $25-50 in used cond. Think they're around $90 new. It has 3 different compressor settings,and can be used as a sustainer and also can give some...

I had one( a 2006) and actually thought it sounded better than my Stingray (1995). Ended up selling then both and getting into Warwicks. But,I think it is the small body/neck that turns the "pros" off? I do know one thing,the re sale value is terrible!!

Agree Phantom is a great song,love when it slows down and harmonizes w/ the guitar before the little "solo" section. I also use Maiden for practice,keeps these old fingers up to speed!

I know tons of Maiden, grew up learning Steves lines as they were putting out the albums. (Sure is easier to learn stuff now, ie. You tube etc... You don't have to keep putting the needle back on a record!! haha) Anyways IMO,start w/ the first record and then killers etc... Speaking of...

Watch "Marlowdk" vids on the YouTube. After awhile,you'll be better at everything. And He has a ton of slap style and at all speeds etc...
