Don't let guitarists organise gigs. They're bloody hopeless.:rollno::D You organise the gigs, then you tell your drama queen guitarist 'what time to be where'. And, never expect anyone else to collect/set up your rig. Especially a guitarist ;)

One might be interested to know, that the most interesting bassplayer in the world, may not have any interest in displaying how interesting they are to any interested party. Interestingly enough, they may be more interested to just, bask in their own self interest.

I use a peavey roadmaster tube head for bass. Early to mid 80s, 160watt. Absolute beast of an amp. Some of the old 70s-80s peavey gear was stellar. Cheers

If things take a turn for the worst and you hit the road, give them a written letter of resignation stating your case, get them to sign a copy of that letter so that they can't say that you're the bad guy and you ditched them. Good Luck

I think I'd ask for progressive payments and full payment for services thus far. Hit them up for their share of fuel money as well. If that hits the too hard basket then I would assume that alternative transportation shouldn't be a problem as they have so many 'contacts'.
