I used to work with a guy who'd let me use his early 70's 100w Hiwatt with the matching 4x12 rehearsing at his studio. That was the most smoking rock sound I've ever gotten from a Pre.

I play through Marshall Major, Hiwatt DR201, Sound City 200 Plus. All sound great with bass cabs.

I use a Bassman Ten combo by Fender from early '70s. It's closed-back, so kind of made for bass. Not most people's first choice, but I like it.
Yeah? When I first bought my bass, I also bought a little guitar amp (not knowing it was a guitar amp) this was 10 years ago. Man I feel old. Anyway. I still have that same amp. I don't even think of using it though, it sounds awful
