Laney Digbeth DB-pre is massively underrated. Cheap, robust, sounds good (to me), all the inputs and outputs I actually need. I stopped using my Tech 21 VT Bass head DI, and use the Laney exclusively. I got it for £100. I was looking for a Sansamp, but that GAS is on hold currently.

I feel your pain. I have begun a project with some people I didn't know. Turns out that our 'politics' don't even remotely align. The honeymoon period seems to have turned a bit sour. I don't want to talk politics at all., but it's becoming unavoidable. So frustrating.

I did have a few thoughts about buying a 4ohm 2x12 to maximise my amp, but this obviously limits my choices with adding cabs to maximise total speaker area.

What's your opinion after all this time. I'm in a similar situation and I'm leaning towards GK115 neo cabs. Mesa is far too expensive in the UK (though GK isn't far behind).

90's Danelectro Fabtone (the burgundy coloured cast metal one). Smashing low end. It's too bassy/thick for guitar unless you're playing funeral doom and runs the risk of being muddy, but I love it.
