hey, i just got a preused 4003 mapleglo off ebay too. problem is, i cant figure out how to use the bridge mutes. any ideas? its a 2005 model if that makes a difference.

the 4003 is a good choice. i just ordered mine, cant wait for it to arrive. when i played one at the store it gave me shivers. i connected instantly. the action is perfect (it might just be me, tho) and the pu cover isnt to hard to get around

i had a black johnson shortscale bass. it sucked, but i got new pickups, and it plays quite nicely now (not great, tho)

yeah, ive tried these, i even called samash, and they have it in another store that they aren't willing to get unless i am 100% sure that ill buy it

so, the rickenbacker 4003. i really wanna get it, i have the money, i know a place to order it, but i can find no where to play it in person. ive played a vintage 4001 and a modern 4001, and really like the rick-o sound, but i wanna play it before i get it. anyone know of a place near Westport...

so i have a standard fender precision bass, and i really think that a vintage jazz neck would look quite nice on it. can i do this by buying a warmoth neck and putting it on... they dont make p bass necks with the block inlay. is it ok to put a j neck on a p bass? thanks jake
