I agree it would be great to have a stand that functions as a tablet holder. I usually play seated with my iPad on a microphone stand with my microphone… it is a little tricky getting everything situated so can access it. I may go back to standing when I play to increase my mobility. But...

I would make any mods to the side of the fingerboard… it’s much more visible (when playing) to me than the front. I use a pencil from time to time… it rubs off over time and you re-do it when needed.
