It has all arrived today, i am definitely a lot closer to the Duff sound now. Been jamming along to the live album for hours.

215 cab came today. GK head wont be here until Saturday. Can't wait, I'm antsy.

Perhaps someday...for now though since I'm still in the begining stages of bass playing I'm having a blast trying to jam along with my favorite band. I'm constantly fiddling with the controls on the amp...I made the mistake of buying the fender prior to listening to it. Lesson learned.

So i found a great deal on 400rb amp 400 watts, purchased that. Next question, I don't gig, just jam at home with music. 210 gk. cab or 410gk?

Yup, that opening bass line is one of the reasons I fell in love with bass and the intro bass to jungle (which I believe is very under appreciated).

I just LOL'd for real reading that, almost spit my coffee out. The corona pedal does pretty well for me now. Def nails some of that illusions tone.

Thank you for the information. Very helpful. I can get ballpark to the some of the illusions material now but it just sounds off to my ears. I def regret stringing my new duff signature model with the roto nickels. I will change back to the swingbass R66. I do believe your right with the sound...

I'm running some rotosound nickel on stainless roundwounds. My first time with the nickel, I usually use just the stainless roundwounds. I think I might switch back. My squier seems to produce more of the duff sound than my fender duff signature. I'm running a chorus pedal but not an overdrive...

Can't seem to get that duff sound using a fender rumble 40. I know Duff is a GK guy but I can't even get anything remotely close. Making me sad. Anyone have any success with such a small combo amp?

How do cabinets work with heads? I see some decent priced GK amp heads and cabinets on guitar center. Does the wattage of the amp head have to match the wattage of the cabinet?
