I love both my MIM Standard P's. Just swapped out the pickups and bridge and now they are killer!

I run mine with mids dimed and treble and bass to taste for the cabinet and room. I read somewhere that flat is mids dimed, treble and bass at 9:00.

I like using my Para Driver to feed FOH but I use it's parallel out to feed my amp. My blend always stays at 50% and I run 2 different dirt pedals in front of it. Nothing but compliments.

Check out the Lindy Fralin P Bass wound at +5%, I love mine! But I also like the Model P and the Geezer EMG's as well.

Any more than 50% blend and it looses articulation.

The Hartke Kilo might be the ticket for you. So many options including overdrive. The Hydrive cabs are great if you want a bright clear tone while the AK series delivers a more classic sound. Just remember that 15's are great for mid forward articulation while 10's give you that deep low end...
