    Eden Forum Disappears

@Rip Van Dan thanks for the incredibly helpful post! Yeah, I think I got a steal for sure. In searching the internet for information about the amp, I've come across several posts that discuss a mod to move the AC to DC converters off the board to lower the heat going into the board. Is that...

    Eden Forum Disappears

Always wanted an Eden and it finally happened! I saw this WT800A on Facebook Marketplace last week. Owner said it hummed after being played for no more than an hour. He assumed it needed to be repaired so I offered him $150 for the amp and it's now mine! I plugged this in and played it for about...

What clip on tuners are you using?

Snark Air. Works great on my Ibanez EHB bass, doesn't get in the way.

    Soldering Tools

I'm going to take your suggestion and look for a 5mm chisel-type tip. The one I use now is just a pointed tip and I noticed that even on high settings it seems like it takes a long time to heat up the parts. Thanks for the info!

    Soldering Tools

If you have a Harbor Freight close by they have 2 soldering stations available. I own this one and can say it works very well: Invalid Link Removed And if you want to spend a little more money they recently added one with a digital readout but I've never used this one: Invalid Link Removed...

Does anyone use computer based bass plugins live?

I used MODEP (open source version of MOD Devices ported to Raspberry PI) live every week. No latency issues.

    Whackiest mass-produced basses?

I personally would own any of the basses listed in this topic (I do own a Bongo) so I do like "whacky".

new bass day - the spector has landed

That is a nice looking bass! So happy to see that the "PJ" configuration still lives on. I have a Jackson with EMG PJ and they have such a distinctive tone. I'm also focusing on lightweight basses to relieve shoulder pain. I may have to check this out...always wanted to try a Spector.

    What amp is Chris playing?

No opinion on the amp, but I've always liked the songs from that album!

...and they don't even have heaters on stage???

I'd be like: Hey, pyrotechnic guy...can you just turn those flames on full blast and leave them on? :)

I can't try out any multiscale basses near me!

I got an EHB1005MS recently used at GC. I actually bought it more for the weight as my 10 lb basses were getting too heavy for my shoulder. I really like it! It's light, easy to play and sounds good. I am considering putting in an Audere preamp though.
