Don't know yet, depends on gain staging. there's a slight boost in distortion with the boost all the way CCW. So MBD on low gain, boost some more hair and MBD2 for full on distortion. We'll see when i have tested it a bit more with my band and on my own amplifier. Sounded good at home, but...

Both are good, just recently changed to the Sadowsky pre myself from Fenders preamp. I can't live without a tone pot. That just makes the sadowsky preamp more useable when you can use it in both active and passive. Nothing wrong with Fenders onboard preamp, pretty good also. But yeah, good...
