How do you like that Germ Mosfet Preamp on bass?Welcome back to the family, MBD-1.
When I bought the MBD-2 I sold my beloved -1 to a friend who (understandably) wouldnāt sell it back. Finally found a near mint version.
The world can now return to spinning on its correct axis.
Honestly, never tried it. I use it on guitar tuned to G# standard and itās beefy yet clear. Really easy to dial in.How do you like that Germ Mosfet Preamp on bass?
LOL. A woman stopped me at the grocery store with my "Good Enough" DA hoodie on. "What does 'Good Enough' mean?" Oh man, what a loaded question. Pretty sure she left confused.Had my DA shirt on yesterday and one of the other parents at school pickup was like you play bass too? And from there a new friendship has been forged.
A guy yelled that to me at Home Depot and I forgot I was wearing the shirt. I was the one confused.
Nice board. Why two MBDs?View attachment 7033572
Yowza. Got some gain staging going on. Dont know what to do with the DCX bass. Paperweight?
I own and use MBD 3. With its boost switch, I am able to achieve both high and low gain sounds with one pedal. So I am interested what is it that KaiserRainMan tries to achieve with two pedals...Why not?
Don't know yet, depends on gain staging. there's a slight boost in distortion with the boost all the way CCW. So MBD on low gain, boost some more hair and MBD2 for full on distortion.I own and use MBD 3. With its boost switch, I am able to achieve both high and low gain sounds with one pedal. That's where I have the boost control set usually. I think I remember one of the DA guys stating that there is 14 db of boost with the boost control CCW.there's a slight boost in distortion with the boost all the way CCW.
I think it was "Input gain +6dB/boost engaged +14dB/Full boost +34dB"That's where I have the boost control set usually. I think I remember one of the DA guys stating that there is 14 db of boost with the boost control CCW.
Is that correct, father of fires?
Thank you
