10/10 humor as usual.

  • "Also due to our proactiveness, they were finished over a month early."
  • "I prefer my pedals as black as my heart but some of you are not beyond saving."

EDIT: pretty sure I'm the aforementioned "TalkBass associate." I won't hold you to your comments at the 2023 Chicago Boutique Pedal Showcase, Jeff :)

Had my DA shirt on yesterday and one of the other parents at school pickup was like you play bass too? And from there a new friendship has been forged.
LOL. A woman stopped me at the grocery store with my "Good Enough" DA hoodie on. "What does 'Good Enough' mean?" Oh man, what a loaded question. Pretty sure she left confused.

I own and use MBD 3. With its boost switch, I am able to achieve both high and low gain sounds with one pedal. So I am interested what is it that KaiserRainMan tries to achieve with two pedals...
Don't know yet, depends on gain staging. there's a slight boost in distortion with the boost all the way CCW. So MBD on low gain, boost some more hair and MBD2 for full on distortion.

We'll see when i have tested it a bit more with my band and on my own amplifier. Sounded good at home, but depends in a band situation. I always want more distortion than I end up using.

But my initial idea was to just use MBD3 and ditch both MBD2 and DCX. But perhaps DCX gets the stick.
