I like the mid push and grainy character. It sounds less pillowy than the MBD and more razor…but still for bass

MBD is heavily shaped at every point in the circuit to achieve its goal. BPD leaves a bit more of the shaping to your playing, your bass, and your amp.

Bet it sounds awesome! You have inspired me to put the Steel Leather back on the board and using your settings sounds cool. Makes my tone before sound too muddy. It's like cleaning a dirty car windscreen to see clearly if ya get me.

Exactly! Adds some crispness to the tone. It can give finger playing a pick-like tone. I think that was one of EHX's intentions.

That's why I got rid of mine; it wouldn't play nice daisy-chained.

No, everything is powered off a Truetone CS6. No problems at all.

@father of fires @whoismarykelly If you guys made something akin to the Steel Leather (think making finger playing sound like pick playing), that would be an instabuy.

Excited to hear this, even if I'm trying not to buy anything right now. I love my MBD2 for cleaner, glassier tones with low gain, low depth and higher tone settings, but I also love it for really ripping almost fuzz tones with the depth and gain cranked and +20db engaged - it's just hard to go back and forth between those two sounds. the BPD set to kill in front of the MBD2 set for cleaner tones could be great combo... stomp the BPD to push low end, gain and saturation into the MBD.
