Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

Excited to hear this, even if I'm trying not to buy anything right now. I love my MBD2 for cleaner, glassier tones with low gain, low depth and higher tone settings, but I also love it for really ripping almost fuzz tones with the depth and gain cranked and +20db engaged - it's just hard to go back and forth between those two sounds. the BPD set to kill in front of the MBD2 set for cleaner tones could be great combo... stomp the BPD to push low end, gain and saturation into the MBD.

I think I would flip the order in that scenario. What works for your lower gain MBD2 tone might not work with a high gain high bass signal going in but the MBD2 functioning as a preamp for the BPD would be a lot more consistent tone-wise. But worth trying both ways.

There's nothing wrong with having multiple MBDs...

Believe me, I've considered a multiple MBD solution on many occasions, for exactly this reason.

Thanks for the reminder that order makes a difference.

Had less than desirable results running a muff based pedal into an MBD-1 at low gain settings.
Changed the order and bam,
Big muff tones and additional high-end articulation with a touch of clank.

Well I know what I'm buying tomorrow,

I make a point of NEVER listening to demos. I only regret it most of the time.

Yeah for the most part. I just like to get a general idea the timbre/flavor or whatever it is. Especially with dirt. There's times I GAS for something I see only to hear and be like, yeah, I can already cover that or it's not my thing.

See, I just commissioned a build from Dennis, he's one of the guitarists from Bongripper. He and Nick from Dunwich designed a 250 PCB that I had had years back that I stupidly sold when I needed some cash. I heard an old video last month our drummer took of me playing it at a practice and just had to get recoup it. Hit Dennis up and he was awesome about it and was more than happy to help me out. So with that purchase it kinda puts me over my budget if I were to get the PBD. But I will find a way haha I have some options.

Sounds sweet, those guys have great taste in pedals... Love my fuzzorocious Bongripper (running through a dirt fixer)
