    My custom Peavey rebuild

    I was given an older peavy so i thought like you why not try somthing, I stripped it dwon to the wood though. I also cut the horns down and madea custom wood pickguard I haven't go to work on it for a bit but I will post progress soon. Looks great man

    I played in a band that had them as an endorsment and I would use carvin stuff for anything guitars, pa, whatever, even though I don't play with the group now...carvins new ICON is sweet....but i use some of their parts and never had a problem

    yeah I buy my lumber rough sawn and it come in 4/4(1") 6/4(1.5)8/4(2") roughly...that is how I order when it comes from the lumber mill but if you ask they can usually plane it down to whatever thickness you want if you don't have a planer and my supplier hasd done it for me at no charge

    A question for those of you Nitro people

    I use to spray cabinets in a production shop and when we had that problem sometimes you can use a rag with Laquer THinner on it and wipe it off...it worked 90% of the time Just be careful it suck when you take stuff down to far and basically have to start over. Good luck

    Hey I promise I"ll try to post some progress on this guitar soon But I took the fendar looking body, cut down the horns for a little rounded looked and then cut a notch out where the back strap goes to mix things up....I did just finish cutting out the new wooden pickguard I'm making to match...
