    Peavey T-40 intonation screws

Thanks for all the replies! What I need is indeed, an intonation screw, not a saddle height (grub) adjustment screw. I will take one of the intonation screws I have and go to my local ACE Hardware. Hopefully I can find something that will work. Again, thank you for all the suggestions!

    Peavey T-40 intonation screws

Hey guys… Looking for intonation screws for my Peavey T-40. I scoured the internet, ordered what was supposed to be the correct screws (4-40 thread with 7/8” length) and they were not! Way too small. Can anyone please let me know which screws to order? It would be greatly appreciated!

    Ibanez Glideline cables

Do yourself a favor. Click on this FB link to GLS Audio. Very solid cables and priced affordably. I've had mine for years and they sound great with no issues. https://www.facebook.com/GLSAudio/

    Best inexpensive tuner pedal

Good point. I guess you could go to YouTube and search for "bass tuner" and tune the "A" string to 440, then tune the other strings in relation to the "A".

    Best inexpensive tuner pedal

Properly set up your bass and check intonation (borrow a tuner for this). Once the intonation is accurate, tuning harmonically (by ear) has worked very well for me. Cost = $0 Won't get cheaper than that!

    Let's talk about string height/action

I never measure. I used to. I was kind of obsessed with it. The last several years I have discovered that (for me) it's just not necessary to measure. I set my bass' action to where its high enough that I don't get any buzzing when I dig in or use a pick.

    Bridges

I think bridge upgrades are a waste of money. I doubt you notice a significant difference in performance/tone. All my basses have stock bridges and do a great job. G&L makes the BEST bridge in the industry. Problem is, if you decide to install one in a non-G&L bass, there will be routing to...

    Rumble 40 v. Rocket RB10

PJB is very good stuff. I'm not sure about the model you mentioned. I have the PJB Double Four and it is great for practicing. Surprisingly loud and powerful for its diminutive size. Not sure if it could handle a small acoustic gig. If it was positioned in a corner and tilted on an angle...

    Rumble 40 v. Rocket RB10

While Ampegs are legendary, I would steer clear of their cheaper, entry level/budget models. In my opinion, they are cheaply made and underpowered.

I lost weight. Playing bass is much easier now!

I recently lost about 35 pounds. I'm 5'7" and was 192 pounds. I got on the scale this morning and weighed in at 157. I do enjoy the way I feel and the way the bass fits my body now. Fasting and exercise got me here and continue to keep me here (at this weight). Congratulations on your...

Fret not properly seated, causing buzz

I'm having the same problem with the 3rd fret on the E string. However, in my case, the fret is seated properly and I still get an annoying buzz when I fret that note. I will eventually take the bass to the luthier I utilize. An hour and 45 minute (one way) but worth it, because the guy knows...

    Fret leveling + crowning

Well, I checked the fret and it is seated properly. I adjusted the trussrod and raised the saddles and that eliminated about 80-90% of the buzz. The action is a little bit higher than I would like, but I can deal with that… I can’t deal with fret buzz, though! I’m using brand new stainless...
