Thanks :). The bass is a 2011 MIM in white chrome pearl. The original guard was white. I agree that block inlay stickers would look killer but I'd probably put them on super crooked.

I'm in the market for a new set of strings on my Ray34 and I would like to tune it to drop c (cgcf). At present I'm debating between three sets: .118 .079 .059 .043 (~34lbs of tension) .124 .082 .061 .045 (~37lbs) .130 .086 .065 .047 (~40lbs) I have TI jazz flats on two of my other basses...

Te fret board feels great. It's my first bass with a maple board and it seems somehow smoother than my rosewood basses. I own one of the natty ash/tort FSRs as well and I agree with what you said. I bought mine over several Am Standards i tried the same day.

Try any of the roundcore strings DR make. Hibeams (stainless steel) are my favorite but sunbeams (nickle) are great as well. I've never tried fatbeams or their coated strings, but they are roundcore as well and get a lot of praise around here.

I really like how mint looks but I'm worried it'll be too green...I see a pickup cover in my near future as well :) Merry Christmas everyone :)
