    I have chromes on my bass, you might consider using those, but playing in D standard (D-G-C-F) tuning. Lower tension and lower notes :bassist:

    not only would i, but i have in the past. the only reason i sold the bass is for some reason i can't remember because it was like 10 years ago.

    i successfully took mine off, and then replaced it when i sold it a year or so later. any kind of wedge is fine, maybe something like a drywall knife, or something else wide like that. it will take a little elbow grease, but be CAREFUL. it's just plastic, and some people are sticklers for that...

    Lakland 55-02 or 55-01 (used) both basses have same fit and feel, different pickup selection. Sometimes you can find the 55-01's for ~$600, which means if you're handy with a soldering iron and set up, you can put in a brand new set of Bart's, Aguilar's, Audere, nord's or almost any other...
