    Tremolo pedal schematic

yeah it'll be boost and cut. also, look at R11 and R12 in that schematic. They split the source voltage in two. It's then applied to the noninverting opamp input so it'll shift the ac signal up by 6vdc.

+1 to the baxandall eq. it'll save you some parts you could try applying the lfo voltage to a fet operating as a variable resistor.

anyone playing keys as well live?

I play in a four piece band (vox, guitar, bass, drums) and we needed some extra sound to fill out some songs. I play about half the set on an Akai Miniak 37 key synth. I split the keyboard into bass, lead, and pad sections. It lets me save these splits so I can flip between song presets by...

    beater bass refinish questions

I was inspired by this thread (Invalid Link Removed). I want to refinish my beater bass in another color (currently white) using some spray cans so I'm not expecting perfection. I'm planning on spraying an olive green matte finish over the lightly sanded white finish. Will a matte spray...

Has anyone here abandoned their 5 string basses totally for 4 strings?

I use a 5 string mostly for the closer string spacing and the neck profile. It felt more comfortable to me even though I don't foresee myself using the full range of the bass.

The Key to a Killer Warwick

I currently have a 2 year old E-C set of chromes on my active corvette. Gives it a chunkier mid thump but I can still dial in a rich pick/fingerstyle attack. It sounds like an angry P bass with flats. I dig it.

differences between neck and bridge jazz pickups

Besides being reverse wound and slightly different sizes, do they generally the share the same specs? In other words, is one pup wound hotter than the other or something? I'm talking about the usual, stock, fender-type jazz pups.

why don't aftermarket companies offer these?

I have a few used sets of strings in a drawer (some nickel rounds, flats, rotos, high c, low b, etc) and I like to switch between them often. With a quick release, I can swap and tune up in about 2 minutes without damaging the strings.

why don't aftermarket companies offer these?

I dislike loading strings through the bridge and quick release models cost significantly more money. This seems like an elegant and inexpensive solution. Anyone know where I can find something like this for a 5 string? pic from ebay:

    "quick release" bridge mod?

I grew accustomed to the quick string changes on my warwick. I want the same comfort with my other basses but don't want to spend big money on designer bridges. Has anyone modified their stock bridge into a quick release bridge?
