Hey all. I have a 2014 Tune WBC-5, and while I love this bass, I've never actually played it for an entire show before now, so it may have had this particular issue all along, and I've only just noticed it. After maybe 20-30 mintues, the volume gradually dies. At first I thought it needed new...

If this is the right site, it's listed there too: Tune TAB-345 Holy crap I always have such a hard time searching for them on the web. Couldn't be a worse name for a guitar maker, all I get are "how to tune a bass", etc! Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the Korean Tune site, but they are...

This is awesome! Thanks for the link, and fixing it ;) I have a WBC-5, but with a soapbar pickup AND piezos in the bridge. A prototype made but never put into production. The WB's only have the piezos. I did download the stuff related to the WBs though. Thanks :) Also, those GAP ones? They...

Ah... It's a 2014 prototype built for NAMM. It has the soapbar pickup AND the piezos. Also 18v preamp. It's very nice. I managed to find the owner before the guy I got it from, and picked it up at some US guitar store in Hollywood. He'd meant to go to NAMM to see it and try to buy it but...

Lol! I emailed [email protected] (the Korean site?) on Oct 1, 2021. Never got a reply. I had just purchased my Tune and was trying to figure out what model it was. I'd totally forgotten I'd emailed them. I've since talked to the previous owner and found out it's background.

They are nice instruments, if relatively unknown. Happy for your find! :)

    Duostrap Sig/ Neo

Hey all. This is a great thread! I've been thinking about getting a DuoStrap for a while now. I have an '87 Ken Smith BT6, and it's mighty heavy. I have a couple of questions though. I see people talking about the tension strap on here vs putting the 2nd strap around the horn. My bass came with...

I agree. Put the knobs back on. No one needs to know that you don't need to use them... Looks better than the holes, and probably better than anything you could do to cover them.

hmmm. That is a conundrum. I wonder if you can order a new back plate with the holes in it and transfer from that. I'd hate to guess at where the holes should be. On the other hand, how often would you be adjusting them anyway?

That's lovely. Looks really nice. The back plate on mine is metal, so I'm just going to leave as is, but I really like the look of the wood. As for trim pot access, wouldn't you be able to tansfer over the locations from the original back cover plate?

The previous owner says it's the only one made. He moved up to Ontario from California in 2016 and brought it with him, and ended up selling it to the guy I just bought it from. Thanks everyone for joining in. If anyone else has any info or questions, just let me know :)

I just managed to contact the original owner. He confirms it's Korean and was made for the 2014 NAMM show. He intended to buy one there, but missed it and ended up finding it at a Guitar Center in Hollywood 4 months after the show. Some how it made it's way to Ontario Canada, to me! :) Now...

Thanks for the info. I'm not trying to force the Japan vs Korea aspect on the bass. I'm just trying to find out as much as I can about it, since it seems a little different than what can be found online. I'm just trying to find out the origins, and provide info here for anyone interested. :)

Cool. Thanks :) The guy I bought it from "thinks" it might have been the 2003 NAMM. He's really not sure though. I'm currently trying to track down the guy he bought it from. :)
