Got my 1st ESP last week. Next ESP I want is a Surveyor. Are the stock pickups in the LTD Surveyor better than what I have in the F104 or just different?

Thank you. That is pretty much where I stand with my current basses, but they are low end basses. In the process of upgrading everything. New Bassman 500 head arrives today and I am going to experiment-- passive through overdrive channel and active through clean channel with distortion...

Any thoughts on the electronics of B-204, for example, vs 1980s active pickup Charvel? Guessing it would be no contest -- ESP winning....but my old Charvels were passive, so nothing to guess from.

Bump after a long quiet spell on the thread. Thoughts on the sound of passive Charvel 2B vs active 3B or 4B?? Are the 3B or 4B much better? 1980s models.

So, clubmates, playing Doom Death Metal heavy on the distortion . .. Getting a Rumble 500 head to go with my Rumble 410 cab and upgrading my bass overdrive pedal to a Darkglass B3K Overdrive pedal would be awfully devastating, correct? 3 months to decide on the new head I go with.

Thank you. I have a few months to decide. I'm sure I'll change my mind 100 times along the way. Great when there isn't a wrong choice.
