Fender Rumble Club

My Fender Friday will be spent much the same as the last one. I'll have the entire setlist for my first 2017 gig on shuffle so that I can run through it one last time before the guitarist and I try it again tomorrow night.

We'll be rehearsing it after Christmas with the vocalist/keyboardist, and I want to have everything down by the time we have our first rehearsal or audition a drummer for the part.

I am blown away by the tone from the Rumble 200. Using an Ibanez SR405EQ 5 string with a Zoom Multistomp MS60 pedal set with light chorus and compressor. Amp is in the contour mode. Excellent for the jazz quartet I play with. I've never used a multi effect pedal but the MS60 sure beats the cost of even cheap individual pedals. What is other bassist experience with this combo?

Glad you like it @Bobivan52! There a lot of us with the Rumble 200, and also quite a few ZOOM B3 users too. Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club.

Just A/B tested the Fender Rumble 500 V3 head against the Fender Bassman 500 Hybrid head both using the same Fender Rumble 410 V3 cab. I must say I'm still in love with the Rumble 500 V3. I felt the Bassman 500 was nice but it didn't have the plug and play as soon as you hit the ON switch that the Rumble had or the low mid punch through the band. The Bassman was warmer than the Rumble which I didnt think was possible since the Rumble is a very warm head. Both had a nice natural compression but the Rumble to me just shined more. More growl, quicker tighter punch & personally my US Jazz and I just melded with the Rumble Head & 410 better than the Bassman. I've owned many a "fender Tone Stack" amp and I've never held onto any of them. I wanted to love the Bassman so much but "it" just wasn't there. I was utterly surprised by how awesome the Rumble 410 V3 was. It blew my socks off! loud, proud, growly & deep enough for that low-B to shine. ME: "I shall have two Rumble 410s to go with my Rumble head good Sir." GC Employee: "Money?" ME: "No, no. I have none at the moment but I have good intentions" GC Employee: "Get Out" ME: I shall return post holiday with cash good Sir!" GC Employee::bored:

If you ever need more power, just get the Rumble 115 cabinet!! The difference is other-worldly! I do realize, the 200 is so fantastic on its own, it is hard to fathom. Most of the time I just use the 200 alone, but I have the 115 also. The first time I plugged it into my 200, I just thought "Bob Marley" even though I don't play any of his stuff. The 200 is my favorite bass amp of all-time.
