    NBD - Yamaha BB1100S

Love it... Yamaha BBs are my very favorite Axes. :bassist: I have two less-expensive models that are my absolute go-tos. :)

    Need reco's for a head/cab

I don't see any there at the moment, but got this from GC Used, $400/mint, Peavey Headliner 1000, Class D only 10-lbs, 1000 watts RMS to 4-ohms.

Going from EADG to BEAD (and back)

Couldn't bring myself to sell my ol' MIM Midnight Wine 4-sting P bass... strung it BEAD so I could play it. :)

Can your first bass be your best bass?

Not in my case. Took a while to get to 5-string, 34” scale, passive, narrower neck, no VVT and not too heavy. :) But... a lot of that became more of an issue as I got older and more fragile. :)

Pickguard choice for a Fender Pbass

I just don't see the aversion to tort. :)

    Tip the sound tech?

Weekend Warriors 'round here we have to provide our own PA (I was that band PA guy). Must be nice to have that provided even just occasionally, just sayin' :bassist:

Current AMP + New Pre VS New AMP

I'd be looking for a whole new rig (combo or amp/cab), try different brands and sizes... Something that sounds good to you in the stores. :)

Worst Bass Cab You Have Played Through?

Not gigging back in the 90s or older when some of these interesting cabs were available, and not experiencing provided backline, I've always been responsible for my own rig. this is (pretty much) my whole cab inventory and history, and I'll be danged if I could make any of them sound bad. :)...

    Poll: 4s, 5s or 6s (or more?)

5ers only. I can't play open-string notes, so 4 just won't work for me unless it's BEAD, but I prefer the 5. Plus transposing is so simple, just move my hand to the appropriate fret and play the pattern. :)
