I have a Behringer 1400 (mono-bridged) running to an Ampeg 4X10, with an Ampeg SVP-CL Pre-amp. I found that when running my pre-amp at about 65-70%, I was getting a bit of fuzziness, but never any clipping. I attached a Fender 15" woofer to it, and now both cabinets pound the **** out of everything.

I'm looking to put a rig together consisting of an Ampeg 8X10 and a Mesa M-Pulse 600, with a few extra rack mounts for compressors, limiters, not exceeding $200. Has anyone played on this rig, and if so, how does it sound? That aside, any suggestions on compressors/limiters under $200 CND?

Man i don't know about you guys, but that's nothing, on a serious note for expensive strings. Have you seen the price tag for a 6-string set of Elixir strings? At the Steve's Music near my house they're $89.99

They're completely open on their website saying that they have no hidden fees or costs or anything, so I doubt they'd be able to screw you over in anyway. the only thing they say you have to pay for is redirecting existing domains will cost $5.99 / year.... i'm still skeptical.

I don't think it's a mistake to use your index finger to hit the first note on the d string with your index after having hit the last note with your index finger as well on the g string as you are still muting the string, playing the next note perfectly audible, and setting yourself up better...

It's the Spector USA Bolt-on 5 strings that come with the 40TW for the bridge pickup, which is basically the pickup i want but the 6-string version of it. I still can't find a sound clip though :(

Has anyone tried these in a bass? Just curious as to how they sound, and how much a versatility in tone bypassing between the single coil to double coil gives you.
