just go up and down the fret board on each string and say the notes out loud as you press each note. Do this everyday for a week and you'll have it. Worked for me. After a week, my teacher could randomly point to any note on the fret board and I could name it. Eventually, you'll "see" the notes...

Just got a hold of the guy selling it...turns out it's already sold..bummer. He let it go for $250. If he would have been closer, I would have tried to snag it last night. Oh well, I'll save my $$$ for my trip to Buffalo next week. Maybe I'll find something interesting there.

That's all I did when I started out. It fit for the music we played anyway. You don't have be fancy or complicated to have a good time. Cool, not sure if I can get there that early, but I'll definately stop by. Hopefully you'll still be on stage when I get there.
