It works just fine, just set it to instrument. Pro Tools has a built in bass amp plugin you can run it though, but there are better plugins out there too. Or you could chain it with Reason for a perhaps more familiar work flow through VST.

I have a GSR-200. I love my bass. The electronics though are an issue. I either blew my P pickup or part of my active pre-amp. When I have the volume not at the lowest on the P pickup it gets scratchy then completely cuts out. This happened after having a brand new D'Addario flatwound snap on...

If you have a legit version of protools, then you should already have an interface which will work. I use my DIGI 002 exclusively (I don't have a real bass amp and cab, I have studio monitors and pro-tools).

I was actually going to post this same thread. I hear great things about both. I think I'll probably go Circle K for the balanced strings and because they are half the price.

That's an amazing looking bass. I'm sure it will play like a dream. I vote for waiting until christmas. The anticipation is the best part in a masochist way.
