The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

I just added this 2011 Warwick Pro Corvette 6 to my bass collection; my first 6 string.. Made in Korea but I'm impressed. Sounds great! Not neck heavy; nicely balanced although not light. It wondered into the local Long&McQuade and went home with me at a more-than-fair price. Perhaps I should...

    Thunderbird Club

According to handwritten information on the back of the pre-pack checklist card, it was made at the Nashville plant on October 3rd, 2007, production number 51. It was made by hand and took 4-6 weeks to complete. I was aware that 2007 was the last production year. I had initially assisted the...

    Thunderbird Club

I just bought this Gibson Thunderbird from a friend who is the original owner, seldom played. It is a 2007 and had never been set up. I am new to bass but thought I would add new strings and attempt to set the intonation (which was WAY off!). It is now bang-on. They say some projects require...

Won the eBay auction, but the seller backed out, same bass is being sold on Talkbass

I think challenging the sale on TB is not a great move. Like Dr. Phil says; "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?" I'd let it go. Hope you do the right thing for you! You know deep down what happened. No sense in losing sleep over it. Another smokin' deal bass will come along at...

Supporting Membership Rate Increase: Aug 1 2014

This site is great. As a newcomer, I feel that supporting the site allows it to grow, bettering the service and info for know-nothings like me as well as the professionals and musical experts. The $30 /yr is barely a new set of strings.... one of the best deals on the net. Most of us have...

    Godin Club

To reply to Winston - Low B sounds nice to me. I'm still developing an ear but I like it. My Ibanez is a bit more punchy but only because it has active pups. I'm learning bass at this time but feel I will probably keep the Godins as long as I'm plugging away at it. They seem quite nice to play...

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Decided to take lessons at this late stage in mid 60's. Had recently bought the Godin SD4, then the Ibanez 1005 to begin lessons, then bought the Godin SD5 on eBay as I love the feel of the Godin SD4 and the passive pickups, so I made the plunge. I love them all!
