How is a finish like that even done?
 
Picked up this Goth T bird for 80 bucks because the bridge needed a little tlc. Since I was fixing the bridge anyway, decided to do an entire overhaul. Stripped the paint and polished and waxed the body. While I was at it took the frets out and inlaid some nice flamed maple. This is my first Thunderbird, so the neck dive was a little annoying at first, but I'm used to it now. I haven't decided on pups yet, but the stock ones sound pretty good fretless for now. This thing has a mellow, warm sound. Love it.

The Gear Fairy paid me a visit! Not only do I have a new primary instrument, but EABs turned out to be cheap enough that I snagged one for noodling around the living room.
