I know exactly what you mean. I currently have a $65 bass in this $69 gig bag ;) I happened to impulse buy a bass and was looking around for a decent gig bag. I ended up with the Contego. It seems like overkill for my inexpensive bass, but I'm starting to like the irony of the whole thing.

I was actually looking at getting one to be my first 5-string bass, but the 35" scale turned me off. I'm mainly looking for 30" or 32" as this feels comfortable for me. Nevertheless, this does appear to be a good deal based on all the research I did.

I guess if you feel really lucky. I'm still waiting for the wrong item in order to return it. I'm going to pass this time around.

WWBW called me today and stated that despite canceling the order and refunding my money, they still ended up sending me a SUB Ray5. They told me I could refuse the package or ship it back via return label (both for free, of course). They also said I could keep it for full price which I laughed...

Ugh. Well, you can call them. They may just tell you to refuse shipment and it will automatically go back to them. Alternatively, you can wait until you receive it and there is a chance you get a nicer bass (maybe an actual Sterling ;) ) and if not, then just return it for a full refund.

That's a weird response. I can't tell if it's a canned response. I doubt they'd say that and not actually sell an SB14 in the hopes that folks who get a S.U.B. would keep it. Well, this confirms that even if it's the wrong item, they will provide a full refund.

From what I've read, it seems hard to find a replacement, let alone an upgraded cable. Do you happen to have any suggestions for the upgrade? I'd be interested in finding one.
