I use my V7 with a single 1x15 and it’s great. No issues hearing myself at rehearsal or on stage, especially with PA support.

Eucerin is good. I’ve used Working Hands and I was pretty surprised at how well it worked. Vasoline is supposed to work well.

Go for the 760FL’s. They are very similar to the LTF, nice and mellow with just a little more low end and thump…honestly I think you’ll really like them. I tried the Olintos and they’re very nice and punchy, but they’re pretty stiff.
