Eucerin is good. I've used Working Hands and I was pretty surprised at how well it worked. Vasoline is supposed to work well.

It's not that you'll inherit Pino's skills when you put these strings on your bass.

Pretty sure Rocco plays La Bella's, at least with Yussef Dayes, I recognize the silk and the ball ends. I wonder if he'll switch.

I guess EB give the current Cobalt flat with slower wound and thinner inner hex core , custom balance gauge and here you are ~ Pino Flat !

Another off topic question appear in my head are, if this deep sounding Pino flat are create to match Midrangy Stingray bass , i can't imaging how deep the tone will present when strung on P bass........

My point is that nobody here on this forum has ever tried or heard these strings. Yet many assume they are awesome because they have Pino's name on them.

Why is it strange to assume a fantastic player who has played them all, paired with a seasoned manufacturer, would create a great product?

That they believe in the product and how it can perform in the market and cater to a group of players is most reasonable;
that it will be perfect for everyone, or perfect for everyone who is an EB fan or a Pino, or sound similar to TI flats just because Pino uses them (he also uses La Bellas as well as rounds, so which is it gonna be?), or having a certain tone based on what little info has been disclosed so far (cobalt alloy ribbon, but smooth, so...what, close to regular cobalt flats? how close? how far?) are all assumptions.

The above having been said, nothing wrong in being excited about an upcoming product, and, again, that it will make *some* players happy is a much safer bet.

Yea, maybe. It's fun to be excited. There's a lot going on in the world right now and maybe some people need something to look forward to.

Nope, you are wrong. Steve Harris sig flat not for everyone especially light to medium finger player like me. This crazy high tension set can set action low and play along with aggressive plucking or pick.
The full energy hit on the string create nice solid fret buzz without unstoppable /uncontrollable fret buzz like roundwound bass strimg.

Steve Harris sets is just a set of Roto Jazz77 50-110 with silk in a different colour.
Sheehan's set has different gauges, and being a long time user of this set, to me it's quite special, because it does exactly what I wanted (lighter G and heavier E).

we already know the gauges from this set of new Ernie Balls, and considering how in the last years "custom" gauges are used, made and acclaimed, even if Pino's strings are just Cobalt or standard flats, the custom gauge already makes the deal.
